This residential staircase project combined decorative finishing with quality carpet installation to transform a dated, worn staircase into one of the strongest features in the property.
A&S carried out full preparation of the staircase structure — filling, sanding and repainting the risers, strings and newel posts to a crisp white finish before fitting a new matte black metal handrail that runs the full height of the stair. A two-tone patterned carpet runner was then fitted with precision, with each tread individually stretched and secured for a clean, even result at every step.
The contrast between the white painted staircase, the dark handrail and the grey patterned runner gives the finished staircase a considered, interior-designed quality delivered as part of a wider residential refurbishment.
